A free, hands-on morning for curious little ones. We read a favorite picture book together, then tackle a simple STEAM challenge inspired by the story. Grown-ups stay and play too.
Three Thursday mornings
Come to one session, two, or all three. Each session is capped at 10 children, so spots go quickly.
One story. One big idea to explore.
Each hour pairs a beloved picture book with a small science, building or art challenge. Little ones learn by doing: pouring, stacking, sorting and testing what happens next.
First, a story
Children gather on the rug for a read-aloud of a well-loved picture book.
Then, a STEAM challenge
A hands-on activity built from the story. Can we build a bridge for the Billy Goats? Keep a bear dry in the rain?
You’re right there
A parent or caregiver stays for the full hour, so it’s a low-key way to see our Early Learning classrooms together.

It takes about a minute. Register each child who will attend, and choose as many dates as you like.

Questions from parents
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no cost to attend, and no obligation afterward.
Do I stay with my child?
Yes. A parent or caregiver stays for the full hour and joins in the activity.
Can siblings come?
Yes, if they are ages 2–4. Add each child on the registration form so we can plan materials and keep each session to 10 children.
Do I have to come to all three?
No. Pick one date, two, or all three.
What if a session is full or my plans change?
