Lower School (K-4th Grade)
If not for life, then what are we learning for?
Aspen Academy views learning as a way to ignite the personal passions and interests of each student, no matter who they are, what they love, or where they want to go. With a focus on inquiry-based learning, we meet our students where they are, developing a solid academic foundation and encouraging durable life skills. We tailor our approach to meet each student’s unique performance levels, personal interests, learning styles, and strengths.
Students are held to high expectations, and our core academic curriculum reflects a clear commitment to the essential building blocks of child development in language, mathematics, social studies, science, the arts, fitness, and character and leadership. From Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade, we provide exceptional training in fundamental skills and analytical thinking, while fostering independence of mind, intellectual curiosity, and creative growth.
LETTER FROM LOWEr SCHOOL DIRECTOR
Welcome to Aspen Academy's Lower School! It is with great pleasure and honor that our dedicated and knowledgeable team commences on a journey to establish the expectation in each of our students that learning is not only exhilarating but also has the transformative ability to unlock the best in each of us. At Aspen Academy, we believe in creating a learning environment that is both engaging and empowering, where our students can discover their full potential and embrace a lifelong love for learning.
Our core values of being kind, doing good, working hard, and making the world a better place guide us in shaping our students into well-rounded individuals who are not only academically successful but also compassionate and socially responsible. By instilling these values in our students from the early years, we aim to nurture a sense of purpose and a desire to make a positive impact on the world around them.
I am excited to partner with each family, as we work collaboratively to create a vibrant and supportive community where learning is celebrated, growth is encouraged, and each child is inspired to reach for the stars. I am excited to walk this educational journey with you and witness the extraordinary potential that lies within each and every one of our Lower School students. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me at any time should there be anything that I can do to be of service to your family.
