Aspen Morning Program
The Aspen Morning Program (AMP’d) at Aspen Academy is a biweekly celebration of student creativity, talent, and leadership. This student-led variety show is a central feature of our community life, providing a platform for students to showcase their abilities and manage an event from inception to execution. AMP’d is not just a show; it’s a comprehensive educational experience that fosters a vibrant atmosphere of engagement, learning, and community spirit.
Program Details and Student Involvement:
● Student Leadership and Management: Students take full ownership of AMP’d, handling every aspect of the production. This includes planning, coordination, rehearsals, and live performance management. Leadership roles are rotated to give as many students as possible the chance to develop their organizational and leadership skills.
● Technical Production Skills: Participants gain hands-on technical experience in sound and lighting engineering, stage management, and multimedia production. These skills are taught and practiced in a real-world setting, providing invaluable experience for students interested in technical careers in the arts.
● Diverse Performances: Each AMP’d session features a wide range of performances, including music, dance, drama, and spoken word.
