At Aspen Academy, we believe that true leadership starts by mastering oneself. Our comprehensive Leadership Program is tailored to foster self-sufficiency, self-management, self-discipline, and self-efficacy in students and adults. Rooted in timeless principles, our curriculum appeals to participants of all generations, guiding them to lead themselves confidently and inspire others effectively. Through targeted activities and lessons, students develop personal leadership skills for collaborative environments, enabling them to lead teams and positively impact their communities. Our dual approach ensures that our leaders are equipped to make meaningful individual and collective contributions.
 

Curriculum Overview

Our daily leadership block at Aspen Academy starts with a dedicated leadership development lesson where students engage with a curriculum that fosters:

●      Personal Effectiveness: Building a foundation of self-discipline and effective self-management.

●      Awareness: Enhancing intra and interpersonal awareness to better understand oneself and relate to others.

●      Character Development: Cultivating core values that guide ethical and moral judgments.

●      Leadership Skills: Offering practical tools and scenarios where leadership skills can be applied and tested in real-world settings

Leadership for All Ages

From the playful exploration of leadership roles in early education to the in-depth exploration and practical application in the upper grades, our program scales to meet the developmental needs of each age group. This approach ensures that every student, regardless of age, engages with leadership concepts that are both age-appropriate and challenging, fostering growth and understanding that evolves as they advance in their academic journey.

A Community of Leaders

Rooted in universal leadership principles, Aspen Academy’s program does more than teach students to lead. It prepares them to make meaningful contributions to their communities and to act as catalysts for positive change. Our school-wide mentor/mentee program, spanning from Pre-K through 8th grade, facilitates personal growth and leadership development across all age groups. Students also have the opportunity to become Student Ambassadors or Student Civic Organization (SCO) members, representing and leading their peers in various school initiatives. Through these roles, our students learn to translate personal leadership into meaningful actions and interactions, reflecting our commitment to fostering leaders who are as compassionate as they are capable.
