LOWER SCHOOL SOCIAL STUDIES

Our Kindergarten students will explore the relationships in their own lives then start to look outwards at the greater world.

1st graders will continue to look at their families and community in order to understand their place and the possibility of their impact.

Students in 2nd grade explore their community and what it takes to be a good citizen.

3rd grade students will broaden their awareness about the local and global communities in which they live. Students will expand on the fundamentals of geography and explore different cultures and public service roles.

4th grade students begin to see beyond their own communities and begin to look at our country as a whole. 4th graders examine the various regions of our country geographically and start to learn about our home state of Colorado.
