GRADES 5-6: FOUNDATION
Social entrepreneurship class.
Students learn to identify real problems and build real solutions.
They use laser engravers, 3D printers, and design software.
They compete in the Stock Market Challenge every year.
They participate in experiential financial literacy through Young AmeriTowne and International Towne simulations.
Socratic seminars are already a weekly rhythm. These kids are not passively receiving information. They are learning to think through complexity, defend ideas, and challenge each other respectfully.
They join Student Civic Organization and begin stepping into leadership roles. The foundation is being laid.
GRADE 7: OPERATIONS
Bear's Student Enterprises.
Your kid rotates through three actual businesses: the school Store, the Cafe, and Broadcast.
They manage inventory.
They handle cash.
They deal with real customer service.
They learn the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) at age 12, including running L10 meetings, reading P&L statements, and managing vendor relationships. Junior Achievement Finance Park adds another layer of financial simulation.
Aspen has the youngest C-Suite in the country running real businesses.
In 2024-25, they generated over $54,000 in revenue.
This year, they are targeting $250,000.
Speech and Debate becomes required. The kiddos who have been building communication skills since 4th grade are now being pushed into formal argumentation, persuasion, and public reasoning under real pressure.
GRADE 8: LAUNCH
Every single 8th grader spends at least 16 weeks developing a real business with a professional volunteer mentor.
Not a simulation.
Not a case study.
A real business with real decisions and real consequences.
These mentors are not parent volunteers reading from a script. They are serial entrepreneurs, leaders with IPO experience, EO and YPO members, and professionals who connect students with industry contacts, manufacturers, and real opportunities.
They participate in Junior Achievement Dream Accelerator. By graduation, they will have developed at least 10 businesses across their time at Aspen. Some skip introductory business courses in high school entirely because of their Entrepreneurial Capstone work.
Students consistently win local, state, and national business awards.

Q: My kid is shy. Will they survive the public speaking requirements?
Yes. That is the whole point. Socratic seminars start in 4th grade, so by the time kids reach required Speech and Debate in 7th and 8th grade, they already have years of practice reasoning through ideas out loud. The AMP'd performances happen every other week, and the progression is intentional. Baby Bear stage, Mama Bear stage, Papa Bear stage. Q: What is an AMP'd performance?
AMP'd is Aspen's regular performance program where students present to the school community. It is how communication and self-expression are built systematically.
