Welcome New Families
Welcome to Aspen Academy. When we started the school in 2005, it was our goal to create a community that changes education and fosters the best in your students. We're grateful you've selected Aspen Academy as the best solution for education for your family.
Being new to an environment can be both exciting and a bit overwhelming: we understand and we’re here to support! Here are a few important ways for you and your family to become even more familiar with Aspen Academy.
Tips for Working Parents With Virtual Learners
- Set a schedule. Plan tomorrow today to support your focused work time as parents as well as an independent learning time for your students.
- Take advantage of recorded classes. If your child is needing support with their online learning, do the recorded lesson when it fits in your work schedule.
- Set boundaries: Your children need routines and you might need times when you’re in “do not disturb” mode.
Watch Aspen Morning Program Every Week!
Our Bear Student Enterprises Broadcasting Team is hard at work creating new shows, stories and more for our community while we are doing virtual learning. New segments will be added at 8:30 a.m. on Fridays. Go ahead and check out what they have already created today! This is a great way to see a little bit of Aspen Academy and what we are about. We look forward to all being back in our auditorium to watch AMP'd together soon but this will work for today!
New Student Kickstart Camp
We require all Kindergarten to 8th grade newly enrolled students attend our new student kickstarter class. Students will work in developmentally appropriate grade level groups with our expert teachers. During this camp your student can look forward to small group assessment and instruction to provide feedback and set summer goals for a smooth transition to Aspen Academy. We are looking forward to getting to know your child and welcome your family to our community. Register Here.

Kate has 15 years of development and admissions experience in Pre Kindergarten-8th grade, independent schools. She spent 12 years working at schools in the greater Boston area before coming to Aspen Academy in July of 2017. She loves to tour prospective families and see the excitement and educational possibilities they leave with after seeing the students, teachers and classrooms in action. Outside of Aspen, Kate enjoys all of the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer while spending time with her husband, Mike, and their rescue dogs, Oliver and Ruby.
