New Families @ Aspen Academy

Welcome to Aspen Academy. When we started the school in 2005, it was our goal to create a community that changes education and fosters the best in your students. We're grateful you've selected Aspen Academy as the best solution for education for your family.

Being new to an environment can be both exciting and a bit overwhelming: we understand and we’re here to support! Here are a few important ways for you and your family to become even more familiar with Aspen Academy. In addition, you’ll receive a call after Registration Day from Kate Shaw or one of our fantastic Parent Ambassadors to check-in and answer any questions.

Registration Day: Monday, August 19, 2019 - mandatory student event - students come in uniform

You should have received an email with a packet detailing the time(s) for your student(s). If you aren’t able to find that, please reach out to the appropriate director below. This is a great day to learn more about your child’s grade and schedule, drop-off and pick-up times, familiarize yourself with our campus and community. It’s also photo day, so be sure to come in uniform. Our faculty and staff will be on site to answer any questions you have and provide information and helpful resources (they can help you set up our calendar to sync on your cell phone and so much more). You’ll also have an opportunity to pick up our Heartwood Community Guide filled with resources and information on Aspen Academy.

You’re Invited - Back-to-School Birthday Bash: Tuesday, August 20, 2019 | 4-6 PM

This event gives you and opportunity to chat with other parents who are part of our community. For our 2019-2020 year, our back-to-school event is themed to celebrate our 15th Birthday! Please join us the night before school to celebrate with us.

First Day of School & Parent Coffee: Wednesday, August 21, 2019 | 8:30 AM

Each year, parents gather after dropping their children off to celebrate and build community. Please plan to join us for this morning event and have a coffee with other parents.

First Things First

You may receive some emails from us, so you’re in the loop, on our Annual Fund. First and foremost, we want you to have a stellar experience at Aspen Academy. It’s important that we’re focused on ensuring your students are thriving at Aspen. Rest assured, we’re diligent about that and thrilled to have you in our community. And, we want to keep you aware of what’s going on in our community and let you know you’re welcomed to make a gift if you feel inspired to do so. Stephen Covey included "First Things First," in his 7 Habits because it’s essential. First Things First: let’s have an awesome kick-off to the school year. If you have any questions or concerns in the coming weeks, please feel free to reach out to me, or our incredible directors:

Debbie Cordero, PreK & Programs Director

Dana Kohls, Lower School Director (Grades K-4)

Corey Sampson, Middle School Director (Grades 5-8)

With kindness,
