The Aspen Impact: Stories of Consequence

Most schools collect "nice" comments. We collect proof of transformation.

When parents come to Aspen Academy, they often have a "Black Swan" moment.
They didn't know a school like this could exist, but once they see it, they realize it’s the only way to educate a child for the next 30 years.

Here is what it looks like when you stop teaching a curriculum and start developing a human being.

He will never be on someone else's conveyor belt.

Our son George was... let's call it 'ornery.' At other schools, that's a problem to be managed. At Aspen, it was seen as brilliance. He spent years in the LiFE program, reading Think and Grow Rich and running student businesses. When he got to high school and they told him 'no'—no to running the school store, no to an exchange program in China—he didn't just accept it. He sat on Kristina’s couch, realized a 'no' is just a suggestion, and went out and built those programs himself . Today, he’s starting professional leagues in China. He will never be on someone else's conveyor belt, ever."

An education of consequence, not just a full glass.

"Most parents look for the 'fullest glass' of independent education. Aspen showed us it isn't even the same glass. Our kiddos aren't just memorizing math; they are learning the science of deductive reasoning. They aren't taking 'Language Arts'; they are mastering Communication and Literacy. By eighth grade, my child was standing on a stage communicating to 900 people with the confidence of a stand-up comic. They are truly comfortable in their own boots."

The 30-year-old in the basement is not an option.

"I love the directness here. Kristina told us, 'I am here to make sure your 30-year-old kid is not living in your basement'. That’s the ROI. This school validates our responsibility as parents to raise a self-sustaining, generative human. We’ve watched our daughter grow from a five-year-old with a business idea to a leader who can take care of herself and has the inclination to care for others. That is the ultimate 'Job Well Done' for any parent."

A second home, not a drop-off.

"This isn't a 'drop-off' school. It’s a partnership at the hip. The 32-hour volunteer requirement isn't about the labor; it’s about our children seeing us model what it means to be a leader in a community. When the wheels fall off the bus in life—and they do—this community surrounds you. We found our best friends here because we only work with good people."

Infinite potential, no ceiling.

"My child came from a background with very little academic exposure. In one year at Aspen, she progressed more than two years. She became a sponge because she was in a place where people loved her and told her she had no ceiling. She went from Aspen to a million-dollar scholarship path, and now she’s changing policy to help other children. Aspen didn't just teach her; they showed her her own infinite capacity." — Alumni Family

PROGRAM TESTIMONIALS

Extraordinary and Deeply Thoughtful

“Seeing my student recite the Pledge of Allegiance, and the Veteran’s Day and his class performances recently just put icing on this cake. Thank you and the Aspen team for your extraordinary and deeply thoughtful support of our student. Thank you all so so so much!” -Father of 3rd grader

Incredible

“This is so incredible! Thank you so much for including this in your curriculum!!”  - Jena S, a prospective PK family

Thanks for Teaching About Civics

“What a wonderful performance and celebration you and the whole Aspen School Academy student body and team provided us older veterans. I too was teary eyed and moved by the whole experience. Thank you for teaching our grandchildren and children about civics and what being an American means.” - Henry A., Grandparent of Pre-K student

Uplifting

“We just wanted to express our gratitude for supporting and executing such a fantastic Civics Week. We feel this is hugely important and our kids have learned so much from it. Seeing the school decorated in flags was uplifting at this time when the country feels so divided, and the performances and recognition of our veterans was so special. This gives us hope for the future!” -John and Maggie C., parents of 2nd and 1st graders

Gratifying and Inspiring

“It was a pleasure to attend the Veterans Day program. I found it gratifying and inspiring to see Aspen Academy focusing on the importance of civics and our founding beliefs instead of the propaganda and virtue signaling appearing in too many schools these days. This should instill an appreciation for the country in the upcoming generation which is greatly needed.  Thank you for all you are doing.” - Alan H., grandparent of 5th grader

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Families Choose Our Preschool-8th Grade Community

Families choose Aspen Academy because we prioritize the development of the whole human being. Our Preschool-8th Grade community focuses on leadership, financial literacy, and academic rigor. Parents see their kiddos grow into confident leaders who work hard, do good, and possess the durable skills needed to navigate a changing world.

How does the leadership program impact my kiddo?

The LiFE (Leadership, Finance, Entrepreneurship) program turns kiddos into CEOs of their own lives. Starting in our Preschool-8th Grade journey, human beings learn to manage money, lead peers, and launch businesses. Parents report that this focus on "who you are" is as vital as "what you know."

The Impact of Real-World Skills

We believe the U.S. education system hasn't kept pace with global change. Our curriculum fixes this by integrating entrepreneurship and character development into every day. We don't just teach for a test. We teach human beings how to solve problems and create value for others.

  • A Foundation for Life: "We love that you focus on developing a love of learning for life. You are preparing kiddos for their whole future. You give them space to find out who they are." — Adelyn’s Parents - Current Aspen Academy Family
  • Confidence Through Doing: "Our human beings walked into a big-hearted community. They aren't just students; they are leaders who understand the value of a dollar and the power of a kind word." — Meg's & Vivaan's Parents - Current Aspen Academy Family

What makes the Aspen Academy community different?

Our community is a "second home" built on conviction and grit. We don't do "glossy" marketing or corporate jargon. We focus on lived values: Be Kind, Do Good, Work Hard, and Make the World Better. This environment ensures every kiddo is known, loved, and challenged to be their best self.

Substance Over Flash

Our founders started this school in a tiny office with a big vision. We care about results. Our most recent assessments show 90% of our kiddos read at or above grade level and 92% are at or above grade level in math. This beats the national norm of 50% by a landslide.

Is a Preschool-8th Grade model right for my child?

Our Preschool-8th Grade model protects the magic of childhood while building massive capability. We avoid the "middle school slide" by keeping kiddos in a safe, high-expectation environment. Here, 8th graders are the top leaders of the school, not the bottom of a high school social ladder.

A Safe Place to Grow
