How can I connect with a current Aspen Academy family?

Aspen Academy connects prospective families with current parents through our Parent Ambassador program to provide first-hand insights into our community. This program allows you to have honest conversations about how our Preschool-8th Grade model impacts every kiddo’s academic and leadership growth.

Why should I talk to an Aspen Academy parent?

Hearing from a parent who already has kiddos in the building is the best way to understand our "All In" culture. Our parents can explain how our leadership and financial literacy programs work in the real world. They provide the proof you need to ensure this is the right investment for your human being's future.

What kind of questions should I ask a Parent Ambassador?

We encourage you to get past the surface and ask the hard questions about the daily experience of our human beings. Because 80% of our parents are entrepreneurs or executives, they value facts and return on investment just like you do.

How do I start a conversation with a family?

To match you with the right family, please share a few details about your own kiddos and what matters most to your family. Our admissions team will then pair you with a Parent Ambassador who has kiddos in similar grade levels or shares your specific interests.

About Me

Born in Michigan and having bounced between NYC and California throughout my adult life, we recently settled in Colorado and are loving the access to the outdoors. I have spent the majority of my career working in innovation, finance, and emerging technology (start-ups). The LiFE curriculum really hit home for me, as I understand its importance firsthand. We also love the school's emphasis on kindness and creating a community. Our son is thriving and has loved it from day one. It's a fun place to be and a wonderful group of people!

My kids enjoy gymnastics, ice hockey, skating, lacrosse, soccer, biking, running and swimming. We live very close to the University of Denver and embrace all of the children's sports opportunities they have to offer. They also love music, art, math, cooking and playing with their friends!

About Me

I am the mom of two girls and a boy and there is never a dull moment in our house (which is how we like it!). I am a Director at the world's largest global law firm where I lead the companies proposal strategy and strategic client pursuits. Born and raised on the east coast, I was a D1 athlete and love to exercise, cook and be outside with my family. We transferred to Aspen Academy from our neighborhood public school when our oldest was going into 2nd grade and it was the smoothest and best decision we made. The school focuses on real world and practical academics and our children have grown in so many ways we can't even describe.

About Me

I work an an environmental non-profit and my husband is an architect. Our daughter has attended Aspen Academy for 6 years. We all love it. The school strongly promotes kindness and the tools for academic success. The focus on public speaking, financial literacy, and contributing to society are important life skills we don't see emphasized as much at other schools. We have been impressed by the depth of teacher experience, including for theater, music, STEM, art, and Spanish.

About Me

I am a clinical psychologist and retired Associate Professor of Psychiatry and my husband, Peter, is an attorney. Graelyn is our youngest child and has been enrolled at Aspen Academy since Pre-K. Our other children attended both private and public school (elementary through high school) so we have had a lot of different types of educational experiences as a family. We would be happy to help other families explore these comparisons. We find AA to be a safe, warm, loving environment with lots of fun things going on both inside and outside the classroom to keep our daughter engaged on a daily basis with school. We love the small classroom sizes and number of staff in the school especially.
