Applying is easy! Please follow this link to access our admissions portal which will allow you to submit your application. Once your application is submitted, by accessing the portal you will be able to electronically request and submit all the required documents, reserve time for your parent conversation and more.

In addition to your student's completed application, we require all applicants to provide additional documents including:

• Parent Statement: Tell us why Aspen Academy is the right school for our child and your family! Share more about your interests and about your student's strengths and amazing personality.
• Teacher Recommendation*: Via our admissions portal, parents send confidential teacher recommendations for students who have been enrolled in a daycare or school previously.
• Report Card: For students applying to grades 1st-4th we ask you to request report cards for every previous school grade. You will be able to request the documents directly through our portal. We do not require report cards for students applying to Pre-K and Kindergarten. If your school does not issue report cards, please let us know.
• Other Relevant Documents: If your child has an accommodation plan or you would like to upload any other relevant documents, you will be able to do so directly through the portal.
• For Applicants Grades 1-5**: Aspen Academy will accept the results of DAS II (Differential Abilities Scale), the WPPSI-IV or WISC-V, completed within the last year. There is no need for the applicant to take more than one test, and the Admission Committee does not prefer one test over another.
  • You may submit scores directly to Admissions. As an option, you may register your child for testing with an evaluator from the DATC (Denver Area Testing Consortium). 

*Aspen Academy uses a Common Recommendation Form to reduce the work for an applicant’s current teachers and school staff, in conjunction with several Denver-area independent schools.

Each family will have the opportunity to meet our Leadership through a virtual interview. You will be able to schedule the conversation on the portal once an application is submitted.

Playgroup: Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten applicants attend playgroup sessions. These in-person sessions include engaging age-appropriate activities and play, and opportunities to interact with Aspen Academy teachers and staff and other prospective students.

Student Visit Days: 1st-4th Grade applicants spend time in our classrooms with Aspen Academy students and teachers and experience a "day-in-the-life" at Aspen. These visits occur on Thursdays.

You will be able to schedule your Student Visit or Playgroup on the portal once an application is submitted.

Enrollment decisions are shared with applicants for grades PreK-4 on February 28th at 4:00pm via email. ACIS schools honor a quiet period, so you will not hear from us following decisions until Monday, March 3rd at 9am (but feel free to reach out with any questions you might have!). Enrollment deadline: Monday, March 10th.
