According to Merriam-Webster, “Tradition” is defined as “the handing down of information, beliefs, and customs by word of mouth or by example from one generation to another without written instruction.” I’ve come to realize that traditions can also be formed outside of my family and outside of our home. As part of the Aspen community, we are also a part of our school’s traditions such as AMP-ed, the 8th Grade mentoring program, and one in particular near and dear to my heart…the Lunar New Year.
