As we come to the last few weeks of a very unique and challenging school year, it is a great time to be aware of our own, and our children’s, mental health.  We have seen here at Aspen Academy what schools are seeing nationwide, an increase in anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.  What I like to tell our students is that there are no “bad” feelings, all feelings are there for a reason, it is how we are able to manage those feelings that can be healthy or lead to more challenges. Close to a year ago, after making it through two rounds of “shark tanks,” pitching her business, an online directory to bring together community and celebrate local business, Quinn Mochan and her Pando.Directory were awarded the top prize in Aspen Academy’s unconventional 2020 business plan competition.
