Save the Date: Halloween and Trunk-or-Treat!

We are delighted to share that Aspen Academy is expanding our cherished traditions by introducing something new and exciting this year—our first-ever Halloween Parade and Trunk-or-Treat Festivity!

This inaugural celebration offers our community the opportunity to come together in the spirit of creativity, joy, and connection. Students will showcase their costumes in our Halloween Parade, and families are invited to join us after dismissal for the Trunk-or-Treat event in the South parking lot, where decorated cars and festive activities will make for a memorable afternoon.

We are thrilled to establish this new tradition with you and look forward to making it a highlight of the season. You’ll find the full schedule and event details listed below so that you and your family can plan for this special day.

If you plan to participate in Trunk-or-Treat by decorating your vehicle, please register here no later than Tuesday, October 28. On the day of the event, you’ll enter the South Parking Lot and make a slight right to park along the westernmost aisle. All participating vehicles must be fully parked by 10:45 AM, and for the safety of our students and families, early departures will not be permitted before the event concludes at 12:30 PM.

If you are parking for AMP’D or are a teacher parking your vehicle for the day, you may enter the south parking lot, make a slight left turn, and park along the easternmost aisle.

Parking in the south lot will be clearly marked.

Costumes Guidelines

  • Children should wear their costumes to school.
  • Creative handmade costumes are always nice, as are store-bought costumes.
  • Hats, hoods, or wigs are permitted and must comply with all other guidelines.
  • You can dress as fictional characters, provided the costume complies with all other guidelines.
  • Extremely "goulish" or very gross costumes or very gross makeup are not appropriate.
  • No real or replica weapons, fake blood, or other props that could be considered unsafe or threatening are permitted.
  • Children are not permitted to wear face masks or makeup that completely covers their entire face during the school day. Many accidents occur when children cannot see clearly due to a face mask that restricts their vision.
  • Aspen Academy staff must be able to identify students at all times.
  • No live animals or pets may be brought to school as part of a costume.
  • Avoid costumes that mock or stereotype any culture, race, religion, or gender.

**If you choose to park at the Cherry Hills Shopping Center, please be courteous and park only in the center aisles; do not use patron parking in front of businesses.

We hope everyone will have a safe and enjoyable Halloween day and evening!

With gratitude and excitement,
