5th Grade Mathematician of the Week!

Each week, three students are selected as the mathematician of the week. Students exhibiting perseverance, achievement, and enthusiasm in math on a consistent basis are chosen. These students are celebrated in front of their peers, featured on the wall of fame, receive a certificate along with a homework pass and a treat of their choice. I also post pictures of the students on our class Instagram page! Congratulations to our recent 5th Grade Mathematicians of the Week:

About the Author

Amber Craig, 5th Grade Instructor, Mathematics, Student Leadership & Entrepreneurship Coach

Amber is a Colorado native that has been teaching for 11 years. She has 7 experience in elementary special education, primarily with grades 3-5, and 4 years as a mathematics specialist for grades 4 and 5. Amber is excited to join the strong and welcoming Aspen community. Outside of teaching, Amber enjoys spending time with her family riding bikes, cooking delicious food, hiking, swimming, reading, and playing games.

Teacher of the Year-Poe Magnet Elementary School (AIG/GT Basics) (2014)
