We're excited to welcome you to one of the highlights of the year - our Annual Entrepreneurs Expo on April 24 from 9:00-11:00AM! Below are all the details to help you make the most of this incredible morning.
Event Overview:
Each year, our students from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade spend months designing and launching their own businesses. The Expo is a culminating event where they bring their ideas to life -collaborating, creating products, and marketing and selling them to the community.
Quick Highlights:
- Date & Time: Friday April 24th from 9:00-11:00AM
- Who Can Attend: Everyone! This is an Aspen Community Event so please feel free to bring you relatives and siblings.
- Price Range: Items will range from $1-$25 (with some specialty items higher)
- Payment Options:
- Cash: Encouraged for student learning
- Venmo: Scan QR codes at each table and include the business name or grade level in your payment note.
Payment Details:
For Venmo purchases, please:
- Scan the QR code at the business table.
- Enter the business name in the note (e.g., "5th Grade - Breaking Boredom)
This helps us accurately track earnings for each grade-level business.

About the Author
Ben Sothmann, LiFE Director
Ben started his career in education by teaching English in South Korea shortly after graduating from college. After his time abroad, he moved to Denver and finished his master's degree and teaching training from the University of Northern Colorado. Since then, he's taught grades 6-12, managed a private tutoring and academic coaching company, and worked for a variety of local and national education nonprofits. Ben is excited to join Aspen Academy's innovative community that truly focuses on developing and empowering students to become leaders both in the classroom and beyond. Outside of work, you can catch him running the trails with his dog Donnie, researching his next trip, or attempting to capture the best angles of Colorado's landscapes and wildlife.
