For more than 19 years, Aspen Academy has focused on real-world skills, including the nation's first integrated entrepreneurial development program. To date, we've helped launch more than 400 student-run businesses. Our students receive 90+ hours of leadership per student, per year and 85% of Aspen Academy students are in the top 10% of U.S. students in math and reading. Our commitment to excellence in education means providing an environment where every student, whether needing extra support or greater challenge, can access and engage with the curriculum effectively and receive the instruction they need to thrive.
Aspen Academy is proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with Superpower Mentors, a specialized mentorship program designed to support students ages 10 through college and beyond who have Dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning differences. This collaboration aims to provide Aspen Academy families with reduced rates for Superpower Mentors' services, offering students and their parents access to personalized, one-on-one support to build confidence, develop essential executive functioning skills, and prepare for success in academic, professional, and personal spheres.
In the middle school years at Aspen Academy, students in grades 5 through 8 have the incredible opportunity to participate in quarterly Brunch Bunch sessions with Middle School Counselor, Jessie Skipwith. These sessions are intentionally designed to explore topics aligned with the social, emotional, and developmental needs of each grade level. Using a variety of social-emotional learning (SEL) resources, Brunch Bunch inspires curiosity, encourages meaningful conversations, and fosters collaboration around topics that matter deeply to middle schoolers.

Our students, faculty, and parents were captivated by the incredible combination of music, storytelling, and historical imagery that conveyed the peaceful yet courageous leadership of Dr. King. The energy in the room was electric, with students on their feet, clapping, swaying to the music, and fully engaged in the experience.
This principle teaches us the value of empathetic listening and understanding others before seeking to be understood ourselves. This week, I’d like to encourage each of you to participate in activities with your children that foster this essential skill.
