Board of Trustees

Aspen Academy has been created to serve the students. All decisions by the Board of Trustees and the administration will be made within the parameters of the mission and vision of the school, always keeping in mind the interests of the students. The Board of Trustees for Aspen Academy presently consists of thirteen members and four emeritus members. The board positions shall be filled by a majority of community or subject matter experts. The Head of School is a non-voting member of the board. 

The purpose of the Board of Trustees is to oversee school finances, to protect the mission, and to provide a vision and general direction for the school, not to provide the day-to-day management. The Head of School (Principal) shall be hired by the board and is responsible for day-to-day operation of the school.
