Volunteering

Another way to support Aspen Academy is to volunteer your time. Volunteers are what make Aspen Academy the truly unique place it is. Without the help of volunteers we would not be able to achieve all the things we do each year. Head of School, Kristina Scala says, “Aspen Academy exists to portray the collective ideals of teachers, parents and students with regard to academic rigor, character and leadership development, and community strength and service.” When you are here, we can all be inspired by each other to grow the school and ourselves in reaching those ideals.

Volunteers are always needed at Aspen Academy to assist teachers in classrooms, manage the lunch room, chaperone field trips, share their knowledge in their field of expertise, support the Building the Future Capital Campaign, The Academic Enrichment Annual Fund, the Spring Gala, Golf Tournament, or work on a variety of parent association committees. Volunteering at Aspen Academy is beneficial for both you and the students you work with. Volunteers learn who the faculty, staff and students are, why the school has the traditions it does and how we convey the important message of Aspen Academy’s mission. Volunteering is a true expression of your own vested interest in and commitment to Aspen community as well as to raise funds for our Building The Future Capital Campaign.

Classroom Volunteers (Essentials and Grade Levels)

Come volunteer your time and share your passion in our classrooms! Classroom volunteers are needed to interact with students, assist the teacher, photocopy materials, and perform miscellaneous classroom tasks.

Do you have expertise, experience, a good deal of passion, or items/artifacts to donate to unit studies in a particular school subject? Sign up here to be contacted as an advisor or visiting teacher!

Adopt-A-Spot
Would you like to adopt a spot on a portion of Aspen Academy’s beautiful ten acres of grounds and campus gardens? With a contribution of $20, Mrs. Scala will help you locate the optimal family spot, and a sign will be printed to commemorate your adoption!

Special Maintenance/Building Projects
Our school is always seeking to maintain our facilities so as to encourage the optimal growth, learning, and comfort of our students. Click here if you are interested in helping to enhance our school environment!

Operational & Strategic Support
Help manage Aspen Academy’s operations by inventorying supplies, facilitating technology usage, or serving on the admissions committee.

Root Group (Parent Association)
Aspen Academy is now accepting early nominations for the May 2012 Root Group election! Elected members will serve the school for the 2012-2013 school year.
