The Aspen Youth Leadership Institute program components culminate as students have the unique opportunity to apply learned skills by owning and operating their own business during their final year at Aspen. The students receive job skills and business management training via real-world application. In order to prepare themselves for this substantial undertaking, students participate in a summer book study that previews business and entrepreneurial concepts.
Leadership Beyond the Classroom
Students also spend a significant amount of time on personal development; completing personality assessments, establishing personal mission, vision and value statements, and writing a ten-year life plan and personal business plan. Students are given professional position mentors and personal life coaches to offer them support in their business roles and then extend support to their educational and career goals.
