We believe visiting campus is the most exciting part of the admission process. There are numerous opportunities during the admissions process to visit our campus and see our talented teachers and amazing students in action. Most importantly, visiting campus is the only way to truly understand a school’s sense of community. We look forward to having you on campus and sharing our community with you.
We conduct three Open Houses throughout the fall semester to give parents a first-hand look at our campus. Guests will participate in our bi-weekly AMP’d (Aspen Morning Program), meet with current parents and teachers, and have the opportunity to tour campus.
This year’s Open Houses will be held on October 14th, October 28th, and November 11th, January 13th, January 27th, and February 10th. Although we prefer that parents visit on one of these dates, our Admissions Team also conducts individual tours for families that have conflicting schedules.
Open House Schedule:
8:00am-8:30am Arrival, coffee and welcome in the Bears Café
8:30am-9:00am AMP’d (Aspen Morning Program) performance
9:10am-9:20am Opening Remarks with Kristina Scala (Head of School) and Lara Knuettel (Director of Advancement)
9:20am-10:00am Tour with Parent Ambassadors
10:00am-10:30am Q&A Hosted by Lower and Middle School Directors
Student Visit Days
Pre-K and Kindergarten
Group playdates for children applying to grades Pre-K and K occur on various days in January. Playdates last approximately 90 minutes. We ask that you arrive a few minutes early so your child has time to get comfortable before the playdate begins. Aspen faculty will supervise our playdate visit. Snacks are not served during the playdate.
Students applying for 1st grade complete a half day visit on one of Aspen’s scheduled student visit days.
2nd Grade – 8th Grade
Visits for children applying for grades 2-8 are scheduled on Aspen’s student visit days. Second through eighth grade applicants shadow a host student for the full school day. Fifth through eighth grade applicants will meet with a member of the admissions committee during their visit. Applicants shadowing a full day should bring a lunch and water bottle. Applicants should wear khaki or black pants and a white, green or maroon polo shirt along with comfortable shoes.
Please call Steve Goslee at 303-346-3500 ext. 108 to schedule your tour of Aspen Academy.
