Avery Griggs graduated from Aspen Academy in the class of 2012. She went onto Arapahoe High School.
Avery is now a freshman at Butler University in Indianapolis where she was awarded the Presidential Scholarship and the Theater scholarship from the Jordan School of the Arts.
Her declared majors are Theater and Sports Media. She has already jumped in feet first. Along with her academics, she was appointed as an official Butler student ambassador and works at the campus coffee shop. We could not be more proud of all of Avery's accomplishments.

The STEAM Innovation Lab is our new addition to Aspen Academy's innovative education program. It is a maker space that inspires integrative learning in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
In the STEAM Innovation Lab, Innovation instructor Chris Lazartic provides the materials and curriculum framework. The students use the materials to do the following each class session:
The International Thespian Society (ITS), founded in 1929, is an honorary organization for high school and middle school theatre students located at more than 4,200 affiliated secondary schools across America, Canada, and abroad. The International Thespian Society is the world's largest honor society recognizing excellence and achievement in theatre students. More than 2 million students have been inducted into ITS since its beginning. Through their EdTA membership, Thespians have access to college auditions, scholarship money, and countless other young people with similar interests.
